Book Committee
The Book Committee manages book donations made by parents throughout the year. It organizes second-hand book fairs during the back-to-school barbecue and the Spring Fair.
Between these two events, it works with teachers to provide books for students in the classroom as well as specialized materials for faculty. It also collaborates with the librarians to enrich the library’s collections.
Finally, it facilitates the sale of used textbooks between parents and organizes the donation of surplus books to charitable organizations.
If you have time to give, or special skills to offer, please reach out! Email PAR@par-rochambeau.org.
““Why do I volunteer my time at Rochambeau? For me, it is a way to contribute positively to the life of the school, beyond my role as a parent. As part of the book committee, I feel that my contribution is useful to students, teachers, and librarians alike. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child—and we can all be part of that village.” ”
